My Story
Through my work, I’ve had the privilege of hearing the stories of clients from all walks of lives overcoming traumas with great strength and resilience. For the first time, I experienced the depth of connection I had always longed for. Their stories humbled me and revealed how our shared struggles and the collective wisdom that emerge from our pain unite us all.
But I also realized that these profound truths and wisdom were often absent in our conversations and culture. Too often, systemic barriers and structural obstacles silence the nuanced and complex explanations of healing and wisdom. Instead, polarized, oversimplified, and profit-driven narratives dominate the discourse.
This realization inspired Mind Atlas—a platform to navigate these complexities through a psychological lens. At its core, Mind Atlas reflects my belief that all of us are inherently good and that deep, critical reflections guide us to reach our true potential. By embracing compassion, authenticity, and honesty as my guiding values, I aim to create a space to amplify nuanced perspectives and facilitate such meaningful conversations.
I invite you to join this shared voyage of discovery, psychological insights, healing, and transformation. Together, let’s uncover the truths that shape us and reimagine what it means to grow, connect, and thrive.
“The mission of Mind Atlas is to guide individuals and organizations in exploring the complexities of mental health and human behaviour. By fostering nuanced perspectives and authentic dialogue, I aim to inspire resilience, personal growth, and meaningful transformation.”
I grew up amidst the chaos of the Iran-Iraq war, in a home shaped by my parents’ struggles with their own mental health. Their challenges led to neglect, emotional turmoil and my own mental health struggles.
These experiences ignited a deep curiosity: a need to understand the complexities of the human mind and the world around me. Whilst navigating my own identity as a neurodiverse gay man in an oppressive society, I began questioning societal norms and my own beliefs.
At 17, motivated by seeking my truth and a desire to live an authentic life, I left Iran and my family and moved to the UK. Those early years were transformative despite the many uncertainties and challenges I faced. Over the next 20 years, I explored the field of psychology, committing to a journey of self-healing and personal growth, as well as studying and practising psychology professionally.
